From list to shortlist
Use employer evidence with intention.
A focused search is more useful than collecting hundreds of names. Start with evidence, then confirm the vacancy and route.
1. Start with permit history
Use yearly permit counts to identify employers with relevant international-hiring history.
2. Check the employer’s careers page
Look for a current role that fits your occupation, experience and salary requirements.
3. Explain your likely permit route clearly
Keep it factual and concise, without assuming that past permit history guarantees support.
4. Verify before investing time
Confirm the vacancy is open and that the employer is willing to consider applicants who need a permit.

Questions people ask
Does Ireland have an official list of sponsoring employers?
No. Ireland grants permits for specific jobs rather than licensing employers. This directory shows employers with recorded permit history in official government data.
What salary do I need for sponsorship in Ireland?
In 2026 a Critical Skills Employment Permit generally needs at least €40,904 for roles on the Critical Skills Occupations List, or €68,911 for roles not on it. A General Employment Permit generally needs at least €36,605. Some healthcare and care roles have their own thresholds.
Does past permit history mean an employer will sponsor me?
No. It shows that international hiring has happened before. The current vacancy, salary, occupation and your circumstances still need to qualify.
Why can’t I find a company?
Employers appear under their registered legal name. Search a short keyword rather than the full brand name. If there is still no match, the employer may not appear in the period covered.
An employer listed here has recorded Irish permit history in the period covered. This does not guarantee support for a particular vacancy; the role and applicant must still meet the relevant requirements.
